Kayaking on Trillium Lake

Description: 3600-foot elevation. Fishing & canoeing allowed in Trillium Lake. Several unimproved roads in the area are great for mountain biking or hiking, & lead variously to the edge of the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness & to the Wild & Scenic Salmon River. In the winter, the Trillium Lake basin has a complex system of roads which are left unplowed for nordic skiing. They have been groomed in past years; a donation is requested at a box near the road. The trails range from a fairly flat loop around the lake to spurs of varying length & difficulty.
